Amy Reeder Rothe, age 79, of Lehi, died December 31, 1990 at the American Fork Hospital of natural causes.

Born December 28, 1911 in Brigham City, Utah to Joseph Martin and Lula Burt Reeder. Married Fon Kurt Rothe September 15, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. After graduating from high school, she attended Weber College, and then began working as a nurse at the Cooley Hospital in Brigham City. During World War II she worked at the Windsor Hospital in Glendale, California; and later at the Bushnell Hospital in Brigham City. She had served in the LDS Church as a teacher in the Primary and the Relief Society, and presidency of the YWMIA, and secretary of the Relief Society. With her husband, she completed a mission to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. She loved crocheting, flowers, and gardening.Survived by her husband, Lehi; one son and three daughters, Dale Kurt Rothe, Lehi; Linda Fausett and Carolyn Bracken, both of American Fork; Sheila Arndt, San Diego, California; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Karl Reeder, Clifton, Idaho; Homer Reeder, Glendale, California; and Spencer Reeder, Brigham City.

Funeral Friday, January 4, 1991 at 11 a.m. Lehi North Stake Center, 900 North 1200 East. Friends may call at the Wing Mortuary, Lehi, Thursday, 7-9 p.m. and at the church Friday, one hour prior to services. Burial, Lehi City Cemetery.
