The Milwaukee Bucks said Tuesday they reached agreement with Alvin Robertson on a contract revision that includes extending his three-year contract through the 1997-98 season.

The Bucks declined to divulge details. Robertson, acquired from the San Antonio Spurs in a trade May 28, 1989, had asked several times this season for improved terms."The Bucks inherited by contract from the Spurs and I appreciate their good-faith efforts in rectifying the problems with the contract," he said in a statement issued by the Bucks.

Robertson, 28, leads the NBA with an average 4.38 steals per game, leads the Bucks with an average 6.7 assists, is second in rebounding with 7.1 and third in scoring, averaging 15.7 points.
