A man drove a sports car off a cliff Tuesday and plunged down a 250-foot embankment but emerged relatively unscathed, police said.

"He wasn't injured and his car wasn't that damaged either," police Lt. Lou Najera said.Scott Fischer, 30, drove his Alfa Romeo across an open field and off the cliff early Tuesday, police said.

"It appears to be deliberate," said police Sgt. George Hanes, who cited the reports of three witnesses who watched the man drive and plunge the car off the cliff.
