Zetta Alice Jacobs Bergener, our much loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, neighbor and friend, died surrounded by her family on Monday December 31, 1990.
Born December 13, 1902 in Logan, Utah to Frederick and Agness Adams Jacobs. She spent her childhood on the same property where her home is still located. She married Harley E. Bergener in Brigham City, Utah on November 2, 1921. A second marriage ceremony, held in the Logan LDS Temple, on July 12, 1965 sealed their marriage for time and all eternity.Zetta loved living. She had been an avid golfer, participating in tournament play, and serving as president of the Logan Golf and Country Clubs Women's Golf Association. Until the very end of her active and full life, Zetta was an outstanding Bridge player. She lived in and loved the people of the Logan 5th Ward.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Lee McKeehan; her sons, Gordon and Ronald Bergener; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her sister, Cora Hurst; her brother, John Jacobs; her husband, Harley; and her eldest son Reid.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 12 noon in the Allen-Hall Mortuary in Logan. Friends may call at the mortuary Thursday morning 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment, Logan City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the USU Development Fund.
