John Raymond Crawforth, age 50, husband, son, brother and friend, passed away at a Salt Lake hospital of congestive heart failure, December 28, 1990.

Born December 11, 1940 to William Boyd and Florence Bean Crawforth in Nephi, Utah. Married Marilyn Newman of Eureka on December 16, 1961.John graduated from Juab High School in 1959. He received certification from Utah Technical College and Weber State College in machine shop training. He had been employed at Sperry-Univac (Unisys) for 29 years as an industrial engineer. He was an Elder in the LDS Church, and held numerous positions. His many intrests included golfing, hunting, fishing, fly tying, and was a member of the American Mountain Man Association.

Survived by wife, Marilyn, Layton; father and stepmother, Boyd and Erma Crawforth, Nephi; sister and brother-in-law, Iris and Ron Potter, Spanish Fork; stepsisters, Merril and Marge Newman, Salt Lake City; and Larry and Carroll Lange, Nephi; aunt, Cleo Madsen, Salt lake City; aunt, Nelda Haynes, Nephi; and numerous cousins. Preceded in death by mother, Florence.

Services will be Wednesday, 1 p.m. in the Nephi 4-5th Ward Chapel, 345 East 500 North, Nephi. Friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, 94 West 300 North, Nephi; and Wednesday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment, Vine Bluffs Cemetery, Nephi.
