Delmore Craig Sparks, 42, passed away December 29, 1990 of cancer. A battle he has fought for the past six years.

He was born May 21, 1945 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Delmore David and Evelyn Mae White Sparks. He was a member of the LDS Church. He graduated from West High School and attended Tacoma Community College, University of Puget Sound, and the University of Utah. He played a significant role in the development of the comprehensive alcohol and drug treatment programs within the Salt Lake county. Craig also, in concert with other practitioners, organized Northwest Passage, a very successful public inebriat housing and treatment program. He dedicated his past 15 years to treatment and care of the alcoholic and public inebriat. Craig's presence and devotion will be missed immensely by all those who benefited from his efforts.He is survived by three children, Delmore Todd Sparks, California; Shelley Sparks, California; Johnathon Clinton Sparks; and his parents, Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 3, 1991 at 12 noon in the Russon Brothers Mortuary Chapel. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to the service. Interment: Memorial Gardens of the Valley, 10600 South 1700 East.
