A Farmington teenager was killed late Monday after being struck by two cars while crossing U.S. 89 near Fruit Heights.

Robert Hess, 15, Farmington, was taken by helicopter from the scene of the 11:50 p.m. accident to an area hospital, where he was dead on arrival.The victim had been crossing the highway with a 14-year-old Kaysville friend, Nathan Luck, when he was struck by a car driven by Sherri J. Isom, 30, of Kaysville.

He was thrown into an inside lane by the impact, where he was struck by a second vehicle that left the scene.
