Mildred Marshall Egan, 71, passed away Saturday, December 29, 1990, in Salt Lake City of causes related to Alzheimers Disease.
Born May 18, 1919, in Panguitch, Utah, a daughter of W. Earl and Eva Daly Marshall. Married J. Benson Egan, September 10, 1941, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They have lived in Provo for 47 years. Attended Jackson School of Dance in Salt Lake City, and Brigham Young University. She has been an active member of the LDS Church, serving in numerous positions in MIA, Sunday School, Relief Society and Primary, including Stake Primary President and Ward Relief Society President. She and her husband worked in the Provo LDS Temple for eight years. She was an avid golfer. Enjoyed dancing. She and her husband were among several couples who organized the "Dancing Friends", many years ago. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her life was spent in service to others. She welcomed new families to Provo working for the "Good Neighbor Plan", for many years.Survived by her husband, J. Benson Egan; children, Ray Marshall Egan, Bothell, Washington; Robert Marshall Egan, Sandy, Utah; Joyce Egan Wold, Mesa, Arizona; Richard Marshall Egan, Layton, Utah; 20 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Monte Marshall, Panguitch, Utah; Evalyn Roe, Panguitch, Utah; Joseph R. Marshall, Orem, Utah; Barbara Willes, Orem, Utah; Donald R. Marshall, Provo, Utah. Preceded in death by her son, John Marshall Egan, and brother, Thomas Marshall.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, January 2, 1991, 1 p.m., Park Ward Chapel, 800 North 100 West, Provo. Friends may call Tuesday, January 1, 6-8 p.m., Berg Mortuary in Provo, 185 E. Center, and also one hour prior at the church Wednesday. Interment: Provo City Cemetery.
