William Bernell Beck, 90, peacefully passed away December 29, 1990.
Born December 15, 1900 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Alfred Roger and Annie Elizabeth Johnson Beck. Married Melba Brown February 26. 1927 in Salt Lake City; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple February 8, 1956. He worked for over 40 years at Kennecott Copper as a machinist in ore haulage, but at heart he was always a farmer, spending many hours on the stake LDS Church farm, as a member of the Welfare Committee. He was a high priest in the Pleasant Green 2nd Ward.Survived by his wife, Magna; two sons and a daughter, William Roger and wife Marilyn, West Valley; Max Jared (Jerry) and wife Fern, Magna; JoAnn and husband Larry Good, Bennion; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lynn Milton Beck, Heber City; and Wells Roger Beck, Lehi. Preceded in death by grandson, Scott Bernell Beck.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 12 noon, at the Pleasant Green 2nd Ward, 8741 West 3000 South, Magna. Friends may call at the Peel Funeral Home, 8525 West 2700 South, Magna, Tuesday, 6-8 pm. and Wednesday, at the church 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Spanish Fork Cemetery.
