The Alpine School District has begun accepting applications for students who may be eligible for the free and reduced-price lunch program.

The district office and all Alpine schools have copies of the policy, which may be reviewed by anyone interested. To apply for aid under the program, parents should fill out an application and return it to their child's school. The information contained in the application will be used to determine eligibility and may be verified at any time during the school year by school or program officials.

Parents should provide the following information: names of all household members; Social Security numbers of all household members or a statement that the household member does not have one; total household income; and the signature of an adult household member certifying that the information provided is correct.

Families who currently receive Aid to Families with Dependent Children or food stamps can complete an abbreviated application based on that eligibility. Applications may be submitted at any time during the year.
