The Salt Lake Golden Eagles beat the odds and the Indianapolis Ice, 6-4, in a game coach Bob Francis said was "a special effort."
It was the Eagles' third straight win, their first win in Indianapolis in two years and their first and only win over the Ice. The two will not play again this season.Indianapolis scored the first two goals before Eagles' C.J. Young went one-on-one and scored. Andrew McKim scored a shorthanded goal to tie it in the second period. The Ice went ahead again, but Bryan Deasley tied it again to end the second period.
The Ice opened the final period with a score, but then Paul Kruse and Richard Zemlak put the Eagles ahead for good.
