If drivers on the Illinois tollway system start to get the feeling next year that someone's looking over their shoulder, they may be right.

The Toll Highway Authority said Friday it will begin testing video cameras at an unstaffed toll booth in February to register the license numbers of drivers who go through the toll booths without paying. If the plan works, the authority will install two cameras at each of its 66 unstaffed booths. Motorists who are nabbed for failing to toss their coins in the basket could face fines of up to $500.
