Auditions have been scheduled for the following productions:
- "THE TWELVE DANCING PRINCESSES," on Saturday, Jan. 5, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Farmington Junior High School, 160 S. 200 W., Farmington.There are roles for 26 women and 26 men, ages 16 and up. Auditioners should come prepared with a one-minute musical selection (an accompanist will be provided) and dress to demonstrate some light dancing.
The musical, based on a classic fairy tale, was written by the mother-daughter team of Dorothy Keddington, Laura Bedore and Stephanie Keddington, with music by Kathleen Skidmore. It premiered last summer as an outdoor production in Sandy City.
This new production, being directed by Bob and Laura Bedore, will be presented on March 23 at the Capitol Theatre, after which it will tour four Davis County high schools during April.
- "HANSEL AND GRETEL," being produced by the newly organized Salt Lake Children's Theatre Company.
Auditions will be Thursday and Friday, Jan. 3 and 4, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Garfield Learning Center, 1838 S. 1500 East.
Co-directors Caren Beeman and Richard Kirschner need three relatively athletic males and three females, ranging from 10 to 40 years of age. Auditioners should wear loose clothing and be prepared to demonstrate movement.
Cold readings and improvisation will also be required. Bring a current picture and resume.
All positions in the commedia dell'arte style production will be paid.

- "LITTLE WOMEN," on Saturday, Jan. 12, from 9 a.m. until noon at the Pages Lane Theater, 292 E. Pages Lane, Centerville, being directed by Beverly Olsen.
All roles are open except that of Beth, which will be played by Molly Stoneman.
There are parts for five women, from 15 to 60 years of age, and four men, ranging in age from 18 to 45. Auditioners will be asked to do cold readings from the script.
The play will run March 8 through April 15.
