A car plunged off a flooded bridge, killing four members of a family and leaving two others missing, officials said.
Divers planned to resume a search Friday for Chris Wiesner Jr., 5, and his brother, Josh, 2, in Back Creek near Hedgesville. The search was called off during the night because of heavy snow and strong current in the creek. The bodies of the boys' parents, grandfather and stepbrother have been recovered up to 2 miles downstream from the bridge.
The family was returning from a Christmas visit to relatives in Baltimore when the car fell off the bridge early Wednesday, said Preston Gooden, Berkeley County sheriff. The creek, swollen by recent rain and snow to twice its normal depth of 4 feet, is over the bridge's surface.
