The four men sought were Ernesto "Don Neto" Fonseca, reportedly the organization's leader; Rafael Caro Quintero, Miguel Angel Felix Gallardo, and Matta.
Caro Quintero and Fonseca were taken into custody in spring 1985 and remain imprisoned.
Matta was picked up Tuesday in a pre-dawn helicopter police raid at his home in Tegucigalpa, the Honduran capital, and put on a flight out of the country without a passport.
Felix Gallardo remains at large. No warrant has been issued for him in Mexico.
