The Army is calling up a reserve unit that recovers soldiers' bodies and arranges for their burial.

The 630th Quartermaster Company, with nearly 40 soldiers, is trained to recover, identify, evacuate and arrange interment of the bodies of U.S. military and allied personnel, said an Army statement from Fort Sam Houston, Texas.The company is to report Jan. 3 to the Army Reserve center in New Orleans and to Fort Polk on Jan. 6 as part of Operation Desert Shield.
