After several days of frigid temperatures, Salt Lake City had a "balmy" 22-degree high Wednesday. Thursday brought mostly clear skies and a few widely scattered snow showers.
Relatively low temperatures will persist. The overnight low at the Salt Lake International Airport was 4 degrees early Thursday. Wednesday's temperatures were 15-degrees below normal.A weak upper level disturbance passed over northern Utah during the night, clearing fog from the Salt Lake area and dropping traces of snow at Hill Air Force Base and in Salt Lake City.
