Merrill Eschler, 52, passed away as a result of injuries suffered in a traffic accident, December 25, 1990.
Born February 26, 1938, in Payson, Utah, to Karl G. and Delsa Potter Eschler. Married Deloria Daryl Stephens, August 18, 1962 in Elko, Nevada; marriage later solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. He was the first baby born in the Payson City Hospital. Grew up in Bountiful. Member LDS Church. Worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 16 years. Became disabled in 1979. Newspaper carrier for the past eight years.Survived by wife, Deloria; son, Steven; three brothers, Harold, Floyd and Newell, all of Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by a sister, Linda R. Lazenby.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, December 29th, at the 19th Ward LDS Chapel, 225 West 500 North, Salt Lake City. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, and 9:45-10:45 a.m. Saturday, at the church. Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery, under the direction of the Russon Brothers Mortuary, Salt Lake. Donations to the Primary Children's Medical Center.
