Our sweet, wonderful husband, father, grandpa and brother, Robert C. Heitkamp, age 73, died December 24, 1990 in Salt Lake City.
Born June 14, 1917 in Salt Lake City to Charles F. and Pearl Kirkwood Schultz. Later adopted by Bernard Heitkamp at age 11. Married Norma Venable January 14, 1944 in Reno, Nev.Retired in 1976 as a conductor for Western Pacific Railroad. He was an avid sportsman. Member of the Catholic Church, St. Ann's Parish.
Survived by his wife, Salt Lake City; four sons, Gary and his wife Susy, Danville, California; Robert Jr. and his wife Karre, Herndon, Virginia; Michael, Salt Lake City; Jon and his wife Sally, Salt Lake City; daughter, Mrs. John (Heidi) Nielsen, Salt Lake City; 15 grandchildren; a brother, Bernard, Diamond Box, California; two sisters, Frances Miller, Ventura, California; Elaine Bright, Carpenteria, California; aunt, Ruth Davies, Salt Lake City; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by a brother, Fred Schultz. "He will live forever in our hearts."
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Ann's Building Fund. Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m. at the Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call Friday one hour prior to the service. Committal, Mt. Calvary Mausoleum, 4th Ave and T street.
