Tamotsu Akagi, age 75, died December 24, 1990, in Murray, Utah.
Born February 2, 1915, in Lindsay, California to Otoemon and Masano Takehara Akagi. Married Yasuye Ota November 15, 1940, in Lindsay, Calif. He was an elder in the Japanese Church of Christ, Nichigo-Bu. He farmed in Draper for over 40 years. Member of Jordon Doshi-Kai, Okayama Kenjin-Kai, Mt. Olympus J-ACL, Haiku, Shigin and was a skilled Japanese calligrapher.Survived by: His wife, Yasuye; sons, Akiharu, Santa Cruz, Calif.; Roy, San Jose, Calif.; Stanley, Salt Lake City; David, Pomona, Calif.; Bryan, Ellicott City, Maryland; daughter, Melba Grimley, Lehi; six grandchildren; mother, Masano Akagi, Draper; twin brother, Utaka; brothers, Harry, Nelson; sisters, Fusako (Kobayashi), May (Nagasawa), Betty (Mori), Marie (Miyagishima).
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., Japanese Church of Christ, 268 West 100 South, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Draper City Cemetery.
