For the fourth straight time, Idaho's Inaugural Ball will be held in the Statehouse, and 8,500 invitations are in the mail.
Gennie Ison, Boise, chairman of the Inaugural Ball Committee, said the ball will be Jan. 12, five days after Gov. Cecil Andrus and other state officials are sworn in to begin new terms.Tickets will be $15 each, with an $8 rate for seniors and students. The Statehouse Parking Garage will be open for parking.
The Grand March down the four floors of the Statehouse is scheduled for 8 p.m. It will be led by the governor and Mrs. Andrus, with state officials, the judiciary and state legislators following.
Ison said four years ago, 3,300 tickets were sold for the 1987 Inaugural Ball.
