With a choice between fewer or more meetings for 1991, the Orem City Council has opted for more.

During 1990, the Council met three times a month and will continue to do so rather than limiting meetings to twice a month. The council will convene on the first, second and fourth Tuesdays of each month with the following exceptions - it will meet only twice in January, because New Year's Day falls on a Tuesday; November, because of the elections; and December because of the Christmas holidays.

One other change is, because of the 24th of July holiday, July's third meeting will be on the fifth Tuesday, July 30.

According to city recorder Melody Downey, approximately one hour of each scheduled meeting will be dedicated to discussions on policy.

The meetings are in the City Council Chambers in the Orem City Center, 56 N. State Street and begin at 6 p.m. The public is invited to all meetings.
