Steve Hooper of Pennsylvania ran for four touchdowns as an Ivy League team overpowered a team of Japanese all-stars 47-10 Monday.

The Ivy Leaguers scored their first touchdown eight minutes into the game on a drive of 80 yards in 12 plays, including a 39-yard pass to Japan's 4-yard line from Columbia's Bruce Mayhew to Dartmouth's Carl Demeree. Two plays later, Chris Hallihan of Princeton went in from the 1.Hooper scored the next two touchdowns on runs of 6 and 5 yards, in the last minute of the first quarter and the fifth minute of the second. Chris Cochrane of Cornell set up the second with a 53-yard pass to Gary Comstock of Columbia.

Two minutes later, Kevin Callahan of Yale scored from the Japan 5, where Japan lost the ball on a bad snap from center on punt formation.

Hooper added his third touchdown of the day nine minutes into the second half on another 5-yard run that capped a drive of 58 yards in 11 plays. With 41/2 minutes left, Hooper followed with his fourth touchdown on a 2-yard plunge.
