Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Paul Fred Turner, went home to his Father in Heaven, December 21, 1990 after suffering from a massive heart attack, November 27, 1990.
Born January 18, 1926 in Richmond, California, a son of Charles Howard and Emma Jean Reese Turner. Married Lynne (Erlene) Slater, September 19, 1957 in Yerington, Nevada. Served in the Merchant Marines, U.S. Army and Canine Core. Received the ROK Presidential Unit Citation, Korean SVC Medal, W/5 Bronze SVC Stars, and the Bronze Star Medal with Meritorious Unit Commendation for driving an ambulance under enemy fire. Honorably discharged April 11, 1952, as a Corporal in the Army. Went to work for P.I.E. Nationwide as a line driver in August 1965, and retired in April 1988. Member of the Teamsters Local 222. During his retirement, he worked part time at Uintah Truck Lines.Survived by wife, Lynne, three daughters, Mrs. Terry (Linda) Vincent, Cindy Turner, Tami Turner, grandson, Tory Hardy, all Salt Lake; sister, Charlotte Boehner, Auburn, Calif.; three nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, 10 a.m., McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends may call Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday 9-9:40 a.m. Graveside prayer will be Thursday, 12 noon, at Aultorest Cemetery, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.
