Tickets are now on sale for "Cosi fan tutte," the Mozart opera with which Utah Opera Company will commemorate the 200th anniversary of the composer's death. Performances are scheduled Jan. 19, 21, 23 and 25 at 8 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matinee on Jan. 27.
"Cosi fan tutte" completes a series of popular Mozart operas presented by Utah Opera in previous consecutive seasons, including "The Magic Flute," "The Marriage of Figaro" and "Don Giovanni."Ariel Bybee, a Metropolitan Opera artist with Utah ties, will sing the leading mezzo role of Dorabella, with American soprano Brenda Harris as her sister Fiordiligi. As their dashing suitors, U.O. has engaged baritone William Parcher and tenor Joseph Wolverton. George Hogan sings Don Alfonso, with Susan Deauvono as the maid Despina. Byron Dean Ryan will conduct, with Andrew Foldi returning as stage director.
Tickets range in price from $10-$35, available at the opera box office in the Capitol Theatre, 10 a.m to 5:30 p.m. weekdays.
