Mayor Palmer DePaulis presents a copy of Salt Lake City's Olympic bid book to Col. Antonio Rodriguez of Argentina, a member of the International Olympic Committee, during a luncheon Saturday. Rodriguez, who has toured the city and visited proposed Olympic venues since Thursday, said Salt Lake City appears "well-prepared" to host the 1998 Winter Games. "It's hard to believe any (place) else is better prepared," Rodriguez said through an interpreter. Rodriguez was one of two IOC members visiting the area. Seuili Paul Wallwork of Western Samoa has also been in Salt Lake City since Thursday. Salt Lake Olympic Bid Committee Chairman Tom Welch said the city has hosted 16 IOC members so far. Salt Lake City submits its formal bid to the IOC meeting in Birmingham, England, in June.
