School lunch prices may be going up 10 cents in Alpine School District.

Superintendent Steven Baugh told the Alpine School Board Tuesday the increase is necessary because of increased salaries for food service employees and because of increased food costs. During fall's negotiations food service employees were given a 7.3 percent increase to keep pace with other district employees. If the proposed increase is accepted, Alpine's lunch prices will be $1 for elementary grades and $1.10 for secondary grades.

The board agreed to study the district's lunch program further before making a decision on the increase.
