Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, Hilda Lovisa Ford Thomson, 78, died December 19, 1990 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born February 23, 1912 in Park City, Utah to Philip Lewis and Flora Elizabeth Yates Ford. Married Matthew McBlain Thomson June 24, 1929 in Farmington, Utah; marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple September 8, 1959. Worked as a supervisor for Deseret Industries retiring in 1977.She was an active member of the LDS Church, where she served in many leadership positions. Member of the D.U.P. She was blessed with a beautiful soprano voice, which she graciously shared. Active in many civic organizations. She always looked for the best in others and loved them unconditionally. She was adored by her 13 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. She loved her family and set the example for them to follow.

She is survived by her husband; daughters, Mrs. Hugh O. (Beverly) Hall; Mrs. Lyle J. (Colleen) Brewster; Mrs. Tony R. (Lois Lynn) Gamangasso; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Velda and Phyllis; brothers, Orlin and Leon. Preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice Organization. Family wishes to express their many thanks to Sharon Whitmer and to the Hospice group.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 22, at 12 noon, at the Madison Ward Chapel, 2700 South 300 East. Friends may call at the MacKay Deseret Mortuary, 36 East 700 South, Friday, 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior at the ward. Interment, MacKay Lake Hills Memorial Park.
