A Lehi man remained in critical condition Thursday morning at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City after he and three companions fell through the ice on Utah Lake Wednesday afternoon.
Norman Jones, 52, was transported by helicopter to LDS Hospital after being driven in a private car to Lehi and taken to American Fork Hospital by ambulance.According to Orem police reports, the four men were hunting geese about 350 yards from the shore when a wind came up, breaking the ice and causing all to fall into the water.
Two companions helped Jones to shore where he lost consciousness. The other man was able to reach the shore alone. All three of the other men were uninjured. Their names were not released by police.
