Paul Henderson, a member of the West Jordan City Council, has been appointed executive director of the newly chartered American Federation of Teachers-Utah. He is a former physics and mathematics teacher in Weber and Jordan school districts.
Henderson was unanimously elected by the AFT-Utah Executive Council. He will manage and administer state business for the union. He served as the assistant director of the AFT's state organizing project and coordinator of higher education before the recent chartering.QUOTE OF THE DAY: "One of the passengers just kept saying, `The person next to me died.'
