Kenneth Michael Simonson, 69, died Tuesday, December 18, 1990 at the Veterans Hospital, Salt Lake City.
He was born October 15, 1921 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota to Reverend Simon Christian and Kanutta Vaage Simonson. He married Jane Croy 20 years ago in Bountiful, Utah. Ken was member and past president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, Bountiful; a member of the Bountiful #2442 Elks Lodge, served in the Marine Corps during World War II; and attended Zion Lutheran Church. He and Joe DeYoung were partners and owners of Kenjo Floors for 35 years.He is survived by his wife, love, and friend, Jane; children: Michael E. Simonson, Atlanta; Rodger and Joy Weaver, Salt Lake City; Stephen and Vickie Simonson, Atlanta; Doug and Sue Bons; Dave and Heidi Bons, Bountiful; Annette Barlow, Fredonia; one brother: Don Simonson, Yelm, Washington; two sisters, Berniece Owens, Watertown, Wisconsin; and Gladys Simonson; 17 grandchildren and three great-granchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 22, 1990 at 11 a.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful. Interment will be at Bountiful City Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff at the Veterans Hospital for their exceptional loving care.
