Despite a few recent storms, the level of the Great Salt Lake has remained unchanged over the past few weeks.

Measurements taken Dec. 15 show the lake level at 4,202.4 feet above sea level, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.The present level is just 0.2 feet above this year's low of 4,202.2 feet which occurred on Nov. 25. This year's peak reached just 4,204.7 feet in March and April.

The lake is currently 2 feet lower than at this time last year and 9.45 feet lower than the historic peak of 4211.85 feet reached in 1987.
