The funeral was held Wednesday for Zachariah Evans Brown, 90, former president of the New Zealand Temple and businessman, who died Dec. 16, 1990, of natural causes in LDS Hospital.
The services were held in the Grant 4th Ward chapel in Salt Lake City, and burial was in the Midvale City Cemetery.Mr. Brown, who served as temple president from 1968 to 1971, was born June 16, 1900, in South Jordan, Utah. He worked 32 years for Safeway stores as a store manager and district manager.
In The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he had been a high priest group leader in the Boise (Idaho) Idaho, Stake, and bishop for 5 1/2 years in the Grant 4th Ward, Grant Stake. He was a temple worker for 38 years.
