Grove L. Flower, age 86, died December 17, 1990 as a result of an injury received in an automobile accident near Helper, Utah.
He was born July 16, 1904 in Los Angeles, California; to Grove L. and Elsie E. Cleigaton Flower. He married Ruth Rosealtha Safley, 1936 in Los Angeles, Calif.; she died September 30, 1965. Member of the LDS Church, served in the U.S. Navy, World War I. Resident of Carbon County since 1942, worked in various coal mines in the area, and for W.W. Clyde Co. in the construction of the Scofield Dam. Former employee of the Utah State Road Dept. in Price, Utah prior to his retirement in 1968. He enjoyed fishing.Survived by four sons and spouses; Lawrence (Carol) Flower, Wellington; Ronald (Lynn) Flower, Greenwood, Indiana; Edward Flower, Salt Lake City; Clegget and Ellen Ridings, Clearfield; also survived by 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11 a.m. at the Mitchell Chapel. Family will be at Mitchell's, Wednesday evening 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Thursday. Burial Price City Cemetery.
