State licensing authorities have revoked a license of an Ogden accountant accused of representing himself as a certified public accountant when his license was suspended, an order said.

Allan L. Shinney has had his CPA license suspended twice in the past eight years for failing to renew it, the order said. State law requires accountants to renew their licenses every two years.Shinney's "cavalier failure to timely renew his license and the repeated instances when he was engaged in the practice of public accountancy without an active license requires entry of an appropriately severe sanction," the order said.
