Dr. Russell Wight Fishburn, 73, of 732 East 100 North died Sunday December 16, 1990 in Ogden.

He was born March 13, 1917 in Brigham City a son of Noble M. and Marguerite Wight Fishburn. He married Katherine Hodges on November 14, 1941 in Logan, Utah.He was a member of the LDS Church. He served during World War II in the Army Medical Corp. Served four years on Utah State Examiner Board, and as president the last year; member of Utah State Dental Association; past president First District Dental Society; past State Commander of 8 and Forty; active in the American Legion; long-time member of Rotary; member of BPOE #2208; past president and charter member of Golf and Country Club. He graduated from Box Elder High School, Weber College and University of Southern California where he received his Dental degree. He practiced Dentistry for 45 years, retiring in 1985.

Survived by wife, daughter, Nancy Fishburn Holt, both Brigham City; son, Thomas Hodges Fishburn, Ogden; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; also surviving is one brother, Noble Mack Fishburn, Ogden; preceded in death by two brothers and two sons.

Services will be held Wednesday, December 19, 1990 at 11 a.m. at Petersen Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 7-8 p.m. and onWednesday one hour prior to service. Interment: Brigham City Cemetery where military honors will be accorded.
