Louise Hvala Jansen, age 74, passed away December 17, 1990 after a long illness.
Born June 20, 1916 in Winter Quarters, Utah, a daughter of Daniel and Ursula Jakin Hvala. Married Gerhart Jansen, October 8, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York. Was a graduate of B.Y.U., June 4, 1941; teacher 1942-1943. Joined the Navy 1943, discharged 1945. Attended U.S. Training School, Indiana University and Hunter College, etc. Studied for her masters and doctorates at Brooklyn College, 1948, New York City, New York. Worked for Aetna and Travelers Insurance Companies. Retired from the Department of the Interior - Bureau of Reclamation after twenty years of services.Survived by husband, Gerhart Jansen; one brother, Daniel Wallace, Capitola, California; two sisters, Helen Pink, Utah and Ida Chiolis of Californa.
