Willie R. Williams, born on June 14, 1914, to Wilford D. and Eugene Christen Williams; died on December 15, 1990, of heart failure in a local nursing home.

He was a carpenter, helping build homes and businesses. He says his most important job was building the Salt Lake International Airport.He is survived by: sons, Bill, Paul E., Dan, David, John and Paul; daughters, Jean, June and Melinda; 27 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; sister, Frances; brothers, Carl and Jack; preceded in death by father and mother, brothers, Levi and Mack, sisters, Lola and Ethel, sons, Kenneth and Samuel.

There will be a viewing on Tuesday evening, from 6-8 p.m., at the Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 South Redwood Road. In lieu of floral offerings the family has requested all donations be made to the local homeless fund in Willie R. Williams's name, to aid the homeless. Cremation will follow viewing, as per Willie's request.
