Dan Max Allred, 66, died December 16, 1990 in a Roosevelt hospital of congestive heart failure.

Born July 13, 1924 in Altonah to Daniel Warren and Edith Kirby Allred. Married Melva Madsen January 25, 1945 in Richmond, California. Max was a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corp., WW II, Occupational Forces, Nagasaki, Japan, shortly after the atomic bomb was dropped. He was a rancher, prospector, furniture and appliance business man, general and electrical contractor (did electrical work on most of the oil fields, schools, churches, and homes in eastern Utah). He loved camping, fishing, traveled later in life and made friends everywhere. all of his family was at his side when he passed away. We will miss him dearly.Survived by wife, Altamont; sons and daughters, Zelva and Morris Goodrich, Clinton; Dee Max and Cheri Allred, Altamont; Patrick and Marianne Allred; Shanna and David Day, Chandler, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Ruth and Jerry Hatch, Vernal. Preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters, Dru, Jack K., Burt, Marie Mecham, Med, Thomas Lyle, Doug, and Glenna Allred.

Funeral Thursday, 1 p.m. Altamont LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Olpin-Hullinger Mortuary Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. and Thursday at the church, 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be Altonah Cemetery.
