Paul Henry Winkler, 70, died Saturday, December 15, 1990 in Bountiful of heart failure.
He was born September 26, 1920 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah, son of Wilford and Emma Berger Winkler. He married Maurine Christiansen June 16, 1945 in Mayfield, Utah; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Lived in the Salt Lake area since 1948. Moved to Bountiful in 1966. Graduated from North Sanpete High in Mt. Pleasant. He was a high priest, Bountiful LDS 58th Ward; he also served as ward clerk and home teacher. He loved the outdoors including traveling, gardening, camping, hiking and skydiving, of which he performed in various air shows. His being, his honesty, his sincerity, and his great love for his family, friends and pets, will be missed by all. His extreme kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. We all love him dearly.Survived by his wife, Bountiful; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Karla) Gauger, West Valley; Mrs. Michael (Sharon) Miera, Salt Lake City; and Paula Elton, Bountiful; seven grandchildren, Pam, Galen, Kerri, Candace, Chris, Summer and Angela. Also surviving are two brothers, Louis Winkler, Salt Lake City; Ernel Winkler, Mesa, Arizona. Preceded in death by one daughter, Arlene Bradley; one brother, Marvin; and two grandchildren, Tristan Bons and Trever Paul Elton.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 19, at 12 noon, Bountiful 58th Ward, 200 North 200 West. Friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at the Lindquist Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East, and Wednesday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Bountiful City Cemtery.
