The University of Utah women's basketball team came up fighting after star guard Karen Alcorn was ejected for "fighting" from its ballgame with Montana State, Sunday, and went on to a 77-73 win.

Alcorn, who entered the game as Utah's second leading scorer (14.7 ppg), exited it after less than 10 minutes when she gave a retaliatory shove to the MSU player who initiated contact. The Utes, who trailed 18-15 at the time, went on a 20-3 run after the ejection, en route to a 41-27 halftime lead.Utah (6-4) led by as many as 21 points in the second half (61-40) but saw the Bobcats erase most of the lead in the late going. Tanya Zachary led Utah with a career-best 21 points and nine rebounds.
