Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather, John Charles Beynon, died December 14, 1990 of injuries from a fall at home. Born November 24, 1918 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles Henry and Effie May Peck Beynon. He married June Kunze, in Salt Lake City, later solemnized in the SL LDS Temple. Veteran of WW II.
Served as Bishop, Bishop's counselor, High Council and other various church positions in the Pioneer and Olympus Stakes. Superintendent of May Foundry and Machine Shop for 28 years. Member of the Machinist Trade. Member of the Sons of Utah Pioneers and President of Twin Peaks Chapter.He is survived by his wife, June, five sons and four daughters, Mrs. Vern (Gladys) Johnson, Tucson, Arizona, Mrs. Robert (Bonnie) Grow, Mrs. Michael (Lynda) Washburn, John C. Beynon, Jr., deceased, Roger Beynon and wife Colleen, Mrs. Patrick (Sharon) Cardwell, Guy Beynon and wife Julie, Gary Beynon and wife Robyn, Richard Beynon and wife Julia, all of Salt Lake City, 41 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Violet, Melba, Dell, Fred, Thelma, Hudy, Shirley, Marge, Keith andRonald.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 12 Noon, December 18,1990 at the Olympus 5th LDS Ward Chapel, 3070 East Nila Way (4170 South). Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive on Monday evening from 6-9 p.m. and at the Church on Tuesday from 10:30-11:45 a.m. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial ark.
