World chess champion Gary Kasparov, who seems set to retain his crown, put off on Monday the 21st game of his title match against challenger Anatoly Karpov.

Kasparov, who leads the 24-game series 11-9, called his last time out. The game will be played Wednesday with Karpov having the advantage of the white pieces and the first move.With four games left at Lyon's Palais des Congres, the Soviet champion needs only one more point - a victory or two draws - to retain the title.

He has scored four wins, two losses and 14 draws.
