Tomba-mania surfaced again Sunday as Italy's most beloved skier captured his second World Cup race of the season.

The media hailed the Italian star who dominated a giant slalom race in this Dolomite resort following a slalom triumph in Sestriere last Tuesday.About 20,000 fans, an unusually large crowd at ski races, lined the Gran Risa course for the long-expected comeback of Alberto Tomba, who is nicknamed "La Bomba" (the bomb).

Tomba left his closest opponents more than one second behind in Sunday's giant slalom, reviving his powerful and aggressive style which had earned him his nickname.
