The Orem City Council will discuss bonds, zones and stop signs Tuesday night in its final council meeting of 1990. One bond discussion will be a vote to authorize a $4 million increase in bonds for street and park projects.
The other is a recommendation from Orem's Commission for Economic Development to allow Futura Propulsion Systems to issue up to $15 million in bonds to finance an electrical vehicle manufacturing plant. There will be a public hearing at 7 p.m. in response to a request to rezone the Old Orchard subdivision between 400 East and the Timpanogos Research and Technology Park. In another public hearing, at 6:45 p.m., ABP Investments has asked for an amendment in the Orem City Code that would allow temporary sites.
