The Salt Lake Golden Eagles defeated the Phoenix Roadrunners 5-2 Saturday, avenging Friday night's loss to the Roadrunners.

Rich Chernomaz set up the first Eagle goal, a quick shot by Corey Lyons from 25 feet out. Lyons finished with two goals for the night, as did teammate Andrew McKim. Seven of McKim's goals this season have come against Phoenix. Richard Zemlak also picked up one goal."We have some intelligent people on our team. We learned a lesson Friday night that it takes 60 minutes to win," said Eagle coach Bob Francis.

The Eagles have now won nine of their last 13 games and are 8-6-1 on the road this season. They travel to Kansas City today and will play the Blades on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Eagle center Marc Bureau did not play because of a hip injury.
