A Wisconsin construction firm has submitted the apparent low bid of $14.2 million to complete the final 11.3 miles of I-70 from south Richfield to Sigurd.

The Utah Department of Transportation will not officially award the contract until it can review the bid to make certain no errors were made and that all legal requirements are met.The contract includes the surfacing of four lanes of highway, the construction of several bridge structures and the placement of signs along the route.

UDOT will also award several contracts later this year to complete the final two lanes of 50 miles of I-70 in Emery County, which currently has only the eastbound lanes completed. Eastbound and westbound traffic currently share the completed two lanes.
