RoboCop, the indestructible police officer from the popular movie, visits with Salt Lake youths Thursday as part of a national effort with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America to combat drugs and alcohol. The futuristic part-robot, part-police officer character visited students at Clayton Intermediate School and at the Sugar House Boys Club, where he presented SMART Moves certificates. SMART Moves is a prevention program designed to address the related problems of drug and alcohol use and premature sex. Local FBI agents joined the RoboCop actor. The visit was part of a 21-city tour.
