The SHARE Food Pantry, located in the basement of the Trinity A.M.E.C. Church, 239 E. 600 South, is looking for holiday donations, contributions and help.

The Pantry, which operates with an all-volunteer staff, needs canned food, clothing, toys and other items to make the Christmas season a little brighter for low-income residents of the central city area."The number of clients we are seeing has practically doubled just in the 22 months we have been in business," said Joe Cordova, one of the pantry's founders, "and our busiest two weeks are just beginning."

SHARE served over 3,000 households last year. They need volunteers to help operate the pantry, as well. Donations can be brought to the pantry during business hours, weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Telephone first, 531-7374, or contributions can be sent to SHARE Food Pantry, 239 E. 600 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84111.

The pantry is a federally recognized 501 tax-exempt organization and all donations are tax-deductible.
