Two faculty members from Brigham Young University's School of Management have won the 1987 Management Development Award for Excellence from the American Society for Training and Development.

Gordon E. Mills and R. Wayne Pace will receive the national award at a recognition dinner May 24 in the Loews Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas.Within the past three years, Mills and Pace have collaborated on several projects designed to improve the understanding of human resource development. These efforts have centered on the role universities can play in helping the human resource industry develop to meet the challenges of the next decade.

Mills has written a book to be published this fall on "Analysis in Human Resource Training and Development." He is also working on two studies.

Pace has written several books and professional articles. He has been listed in "Who's Who in America," in the Directory of American Scholars, in "Who's Who in the West," and in "American Men of Science: Social and Behavioral Sciences."
